The Territory Homes “Quality Build” process delivers one key outcome: create a strong and beautiful house that you’ll love to call home.
Here’s how our Quality Build process works:
The Territory Homes Quality Build Process
Stage One: Getting started
Once you’ve decided to build with Territory Homes, we begin by collaborating with you on your unique new home design. This includes discussing the high-quality features and inclusions you’d like in your Signature Select package, and you also get to design and customize your new home’s exterior.
It’s also a good time to start thinking about the colours for the interior and exterior of your new home. Take some photos of example homes you like or collect colour samples from your local hardware store.
If you’re not sure which colours to choose, one of our experts will provide examples of our most popular modern Australian home colour palettes, for you to consider.
Stage Two: Proposal
With the majority of the design work behind you, the Proposal stage is where you review pricing and inclusions. Ask as many questions as you need to and get any changes back to us before signing off on your Building Contract.
Check with your broker if you’re required to include any fencing or landscaping in your Building Contract. Territory Homes can customize your package to suit
Stage Three: Selections
Here’s where you get to customize your new home to suit your style and taste. You’ll love being able to select from our extensive Signature Select Selections Booklet (available upon request).
Stage Four: On-Time Construction
Once your land is settled and/or finance is approved, we then apply for a building permit and commence construction of your new home!
Stage 1: Base
When Stage 1 begins, we literally lay the foundation for your new home. This means we complete essential groundworks and pour your new home’s concrete slab. We also add plumbing and electrical piping and wires where needed.
Stage 2: Frame
At this stage, you’ll begin to see your new home taking shape. The walls will go up and the building frame will be completed… ready for the roof to go on next!
Stage 3: Enclosed
This is one of the most exciting stages of our new home build process – it’s where the roof is put up! Once this is completed, all exterior walls are rendered and external doors and windows are installed which means your home can be ‘locked up’. Your home is now at the ‘Enclosed’ stage.
Stage 4: Fixing
During Stage 4, all internal walls are finished and most of the fittings and fixtures are added. This includes important items like ceilings and shadow lines, bathtub(s), tiling, and built-in cabinetry.
Step 5: Practical Completion
In Step 5, we add all remaining plumbing and electrical fixtures (taps, powerpoints, switches, light fittings) and apply the final coat of paint that turns your house into your home.
Step 6: Final
Lastly, any landscaping and fencing is completed, and we complete an occupancy permit – which means you’re able to move in!
